Over the recent Labor Day holiday weekend, I made a visit to Wellington, Washington, the site of the deadliest train disaster in American history. On March 1, 1910, 96 people perished when an avalanche stormed down the mountainside, sweeping the stranded train and passengers down the steep ravine below.
I had been to this location a few times before, but it had been several years since my last visit. My intentions were simple: 1. to pay my respects to those who lost their lives and 2. to take a short hike along the Iron Goat Trail.
I decided to sit for a time at the overlook, a wooden walkway and deck where a simple dedication is located. My paranormal investigation curiosity got the better of me, and I began recording audio. I also started recording a session of two paranormal applications on my laptop to possibly capture responses from the spirits. The first two words that came through xParanormal Detector and Phasma Communicator were shockingly relevant, to say the least: “active”, “bleeding”.
I also had three digital audio recorders running simultaneously. Why three? Because you never know which one will capture something that the others don’t. After an exhaustive review, here are just a few snippets I thought worthy of sharing. Keep in mind, these clips are all what we consider to be ‘Class C’ evp’s or ones which are up for grabs with respect to interpretation of what is being said or heard.
Please use heaphones while listening for best results.
“Holy Moly!”
Switchman switching train tracks?
“I can hide in speakers.” Whaaat??? (Yeah, I know. It sounds weird. But what do YOU think it says?)
“Richard Braxton.” This name was not listed as one of the 96 who perished in the avalanche, however 6 bodies were recovered who were unidentified. Perhaps he is one of them? It is anyone’s guess.
